Gatefather (“Gatefather,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a software service that helps Telegram creators operate paid subscription channels. By creating a Gatefather account, connecting a Telegram bot, or otherwise using our services (“Services”), you agree to these Terms.
These Terms form a binding contract between you (“Creator” or “you”) and Gatefather. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
We provide software that orchestrates subscription workflows inside Telegram: plan management, payment webhook handling, invite-link issuance, member provisioning, expiry enforcement, dunning, and related automation.
We are not a payment processor. We do not hold, move, or custody funds. Your subscribers pay your chosen payment processor (Stripe, CCBill, PayPal, NOWPayments, Telegram Stars, etc.) directly. Money settles from your processor to your bank account. We receive webhook notifications of payment events to drive automation but never touch the funds.
We are not Telegram. Telegram Messenger is operated by Telegram FZ-LLC. Your use of Telegram is governed by Telegram’s own terms and policies. We are an independent third-party software provider operating on top of Telegram’s public bot API.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Gatefather account credentials, your Telegram bot token, and any payment processor credentials you connect to Gatefather. You remain the operator and owner of your Telegram bot at all times. If you leave Gatefather, you take your bot, your subscribers, and your data with you.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services.
Gatefather charges a flat subscription fee based on your selected tier. Fees are billed in advance on the anniversary of your plan start, non-refundable except where required by law or at our sole discretion. Processor fees (card processing, crypto network fees, Telegram Stars revenue share, etc.) are charged by your payment processor and are not set by or collected by Gatefather.
We may change our pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. Price changes apply on the next billing cycle after the notice period; if you do not accept the new pricing you may cancel before it takes effect.
You are solely responsible for the content distributed through your Telegram channel, for compliance with applicable law in every jurisdiction where your channel is accessible, and for the conduct of your subscribers. This includes, without limitation, compliance with:
Our separate Acceptable Use Policy describes content and conduct that is prohibited on Gatefather regardless of what your payment processor allows.
Chargebacks and refunds are handled by your payment processor. Gatefather will surface notifications of these events in your dashboard but does not adjudicate disputes between you and your subscribers. Maintain your own records and respond to processor disputes within the required windows.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, applicable law, or if your continued operation on Gatefather puts our infrastructure or other users at risk. Where practicable we will give you notice and an opportunity to cure. In cases of suspected illegal content or imminent harm, we may act immediately.
You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling in the dashboard or emailing billing@gatefather.xyz. Fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by law.
Gatefather and its logos, word marks, and software are our property. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services during the term of your subscription. You retain all rights in your own content, subscriber data, and Telegram bot identity.
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use the Services at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gatefather is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Services is limited to the fees you paid to Gatefather in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.
You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Gatefather, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your violation of any third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes arising out of or related to these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, Canada, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
If you operate a business entity elsewhere and require a different governing-law clause, contact us before onboarding and we will discuss a mutually acceptable arrangement.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
